Working on the Megalights demo for Unreal Fest was an absolute blast - working with a phenomenal team and using game changing tech! MegaLights gave me the same type of feelings as Nanite did when I first tried that. It’s a huge leap for making beautiful projects.
My main task was Environment Art and asset creation, working on building and setdressing areas of the world and creating 2D graphics - animated and still, as well as designing and modeling the little flying bots. I also designed and modeled the rotating light armatures in the light hallway as well as the organic-looking shroud around the teleporter in the final room.
It was a true teamwork, this project. Everyone on the art team worked on pretty much all the areas, so all our combined DNA can be found everywhere.
