This is one of the Environments created for Quixel's 'Ninety Days' project, during which each individual artist in our team was tasked with completing as many different environment as possible, all in a timespan of 90 days.

This environment was the one I was both looking forward to the most and dreading the most. Creating a dead planet over an epic, broken landscape isn't something I'd ever done before and I wasn't sure how to approach it. I ended up doing the broken planet using the Fracture tools in Unreal Engine. I never left the engine for this one, other than to create the textures for the FX.
Everything for 'Ninety Days' was created using the Epic Games and Quixel Ecosystem, meaning we used Megascans, Metahumans, Sketchfab and the Epic Marketplace.
